Domestic violence and coercive control can destroy lives, sometimes driving victims to suicide. Yet the law fails to recognise this as a specific criminal offence.
We call for urgent reform to make coercion leading to suicide within domestic abuse cases a specific offence, ensuring perpetrators face justice in Crown Court. This is not just a legal need, but a moral one.
