Milestones—
Growing trends have seen a big growth in the sales of higher powered 1.3g retail fireworks, most of these type of products are dangerous and very noisy, totally unsuitable for the places where general public use them. If this was stopped most of the noise & safety issues would be dealt with.
Government needs to legislate that 1.3g higher powered retail fireworks are only available to professional display operators, who should also have the correct storage license and insurance to use such products. This action would help local authorities including Trading Standards to deal with the problem at its root cause, which could then also be further focused towards the wholesale distributors & stop them supplying such products.
