Milestones—
The Government should create a dedicated settlement route for international graduates who: have completed a recognised UK degree, demonstrate strong proficiency in English, and have worked in the UK for a certain number of years.
International students contribute billions to the UK economy through tuition fees, living expenses, and taxes. A settlement pathway could enhance the UK's competitiveness, attract global talent, and retain skilled individuals already integrated into UK society. Employers sometimes hesitate to offer expensive Skilled Worker Visa sponsorship, even for highly capable graduates. We believe the Government should create an ILR settlement route for UK international graduates based on a transparent points-based system.
