We call on the Government to reduce the Pension age for night shift workers who have worked night shifts for 15 years or more. The recommended reduction in pension age would be by 5 years for men and women.

Some research indicates that people who work night shifts have reduced life expectancy, and we believe therefore need to retire earlier. If their life expectancy is proven to be shorter than other workers, we believe they need to enjoy retirement earlier and we believe this will not be a burden on the countries finances.
