From 2028 electric car owners will pay BOTH VED car tax and 3p per mile. We think this will punish working people and families resulting in around £300 extra for 10000 miles on top of £195 VED tax for many EVs. It's not like the electricity to charge the car hasn't already been taxed.
We think this is too much tax on just running a car. £195 is already payable annually to tax electric cars. Then around extra £300 for 10000 miles. Plus electricity used to charge car has been taxed. Please get rid of VED or pay per mile. We believe it is too much to pay BOTH
