We ask the Government to require an independent review to take place into the accuracy and transparency of budget statements. Public trust is vital, so any concerns should be examined.
Concerns have been raised about whether recent economic claims accurately reflect the country’s financial position. Given the impact of these statements on public confidence, spending decisions, and future planning, we believe an independent review is needed to clarify the evidence behind them. Transparency is vital for trust in government and responsible economic oversight.
