Milestones

I would like the Government to change the law to make it a statutory requirement for all school employees (teaching, non-teaching & support staff) to be trained in emergency first aid and mental wellbeing.

A trained person could provide immediate care during an accident or health crisis (e.g. choking, severe bleeding or a severe allergic reaction) no matter where in the building it happens. This could be lifesaving before professional paramedics arrive. Trained staff could be able to identify and recognise signs of mental health issues (like depression, anxiety and self-harm).
