Milestones

We call on the government to set up a parliamentary committee for General Practice for urgent cross party analysis.

The committee should investigate the safety of the digital first approach which requires unlimited online consults throughout working hours. We believe that this is overwhelming GPs and putting patients in danger. The Committee should also review GP contract negotiation and look at increasing GP funding from 7 to 11% of the NHS budget.
