Milestones

Many domiciliary care providers rely on visa sponsored workers in their work to support vulnerable adults. We believe current Home Office rules unfairly punish normal hour changes, risking workers’ visas, and that a review to ensure clear, fair rules is urgently needed.

We call for a review of the Home Office sponsorship rules for domiciliary care providers and sponsored workers, and for the following amendments to it: • Introduce a grace period allowing workers to retain their sponsorship when providers lose contracted hours. • Protect sponsored workers’ visas when hours drop through no fault of the provider. • Provide clear, consistent sponsorship compliance guidance. • Introduce a transparent appeal or review process for licence suspensions or revocations.
