Milestones

Review and pause the planned ending of the ECO scheme until a full impact assessment is completed, including effects on employment, industry capacity, fuel poverty and delivery of net-zero targets.

The ECO scheme supports thousands of skilled jobs and underpins the UK’s energy efficiency supply chain. Ending it without a clear replacement or transition risks business closures, job losses, loss of specialist skills and higher fuel poverty. We believe a review is needed to assess economic, social and carbon impacts and avoid long-term damage.
