The Government should require all benefit claimants to show up in person and “sign on” every month in order to receive benefits. This could ensure that the person resides in the UK and has not returned to their country of origin.
We are concerned that many people may come to this country, gain Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR), receive benefits, and return to their country of birth. We believe only people who reside in the UK should receive benefits.
