We think the present government is acting in an undemocratic way by continuing to delay some local elections. Any government wanting to delay any local elections should first have to put the question to a countrywide referendum and get public consent from the result.
We believe the government is undermining the democratic process by delaying local elections. We want the government to pass legislation that will stop any future government delaying local elections without first getting consent from a referendum. We feel this will prevent the undermining of democratic process.
