Milestones

Christmas Eve is a magical time, but many people are required to work until 5pm or later, losing valuable time that could be spent with loved ones. Making Christmas Eve a bank holiday would allow workers more time to travel, prepare, and be together during the festive season.

Only the Government has the authority to introduce new bank holidays, and doing so would reflect modern working patterns, support wellbeing, and acknowledge the significance of Christmas Eve for millions of people across the country.
