Many trainee teachers work 40+ hours per week on placement; cannot access 30 hours of free childcare per week. Trainee teachers who work on full-time placements can be excluded from vital support, forcing families to struggle and careers to stall.

We urge the UK Government to provide unpaid trainee teachers on full-time placements with access to 30 hours free childcare. This change could support families, protect careers, and show commitment to the future of teaching.
