Milestones

To enable children to spend time away from school with family. These could be for day trips, holidays that are affordable or just to reinforce the love and care that children need from their guardians, as we believe families are crucial to a functioning society and supporting those bonds is key.

We seem to have a society that punishes families for spending time together. Local authorities can fine parents for making memories with their children. Some businesses profit from this by raising prices for many things during school holidays. Allowing children 5 school days per year to book off, like employed people do, will, we feel, allow families time together to bond and build relationships with their children that will benefit them forever. Society benefits from healthy happy families. We would extend this to people employed by schools, so they too can take advantage and enjoy these days with their own children.
