Many console games require a paid subscription for online multiplayer and key features, even when the game is purchased. This can lead to people feeling financial strain to stay connected to distant friends or family. We feel this is for no reason other than greed.

We want a ban on requiring mandatory subscriptions for online multiplayer, for paid games. This is especially important for families and friends, as online play is key for children and relatives to stay connected. Parliament can act by introducing regulations that protect players’ rights ensuring core game features stay accessible without additional fees.
