We ask the UK Government to fund the provision of first-period boxes with essential menstrual products for girls, through schools and healthcare settings. We believe this could help educate and provide products to girls in less fortunate settings.
We believe many girls do not have access to a trusted or appropriate adult to discuss menstruation with, or may not feel comfortable doing so. Therefore, in our view, first-period boxes allow girls to access clear, reliable information privately and at their own pace, supporting understanding and confidence during this stage of development.
