Introduce a regulated framework allowing multiple approved registration bodies for gas engineers. Set consistent standards, independent oversight, and a clear appeals/reinstatement process when administrative errors occur.
Gas engineers rely on registration to work legally. When one body controls registration, mistakes or poor admin can wrongly remove engineers, which can cause lost income and reputational damage with little accountability. We think allowing multiple approved bodies would create choice, improve service standards, strengthen fairness and transparency, and still protect public safety through regulation and auditing.
