Milestones

We urge the Government to prioritise helping young people with the job market in the UK by funding financial support for UK-based companies to create more internships and job positions for all, but especially young people.

We believe the current UK job market is brutal for young people. The unemployment rate for people aged 16-24 is around 16%. Although the government has promised more internships for young people, we feel this is not enough and more needs to be done urgently. We feel the job crisis is causing young people to be pushed into poverty and worsening the mental health crisis. We believe young people have been most affected by the pandemic and economic crisis, and we want the Government to urgently act.
