Milestones

We ask for the replacement of the current voting system with a transferable where the electorate will indicate preferences for up to 3 candidates and candidates are eliminated until one has over 50% of the remaining votes. This could ensure all votes cast are fully counted and be more representative

This could stop elections where the winning candidate has only 25% of the votes cast, leaving 75% of the votes spread over the various other candidates. We also believe it could help prevent extreme candidates from gaining elected positions with minimal votes. Under this new system, all candidates MUST gather 50% of the elected votes to be declared a winner.
