Cut interest on student loans to a maximum of RPI including retrospective calculations; make first PHD part of first degree debt not a second payment; no interest to be added to the debt all while completing the degree; make loan education mandatory as part of studies.
We believe the current generation is systematically being disadvantaged. Education used to be free for UK citizens. Current older graduates had these benefits and no debt to pay off but the system has now been changed to going back to a place where degrees will only be accessible to the rich or poorer people will be saddled with a lifetime of debt. The system needs changing for the youth of our country.
