Change the law so domestic abusers and stalkers face tougher punishments, and any conviction of abuse - no matter how “minor” - triggers an automatic review to remove or restrict parental responsibility to protect children and victims.
Domestic abuse, stalking, and coercive control put victims and children at serious risk. Many perpetrators keep parental rights even after convictions, and there are hundreds of abuse related deaths each year in the UK. We feel tougher sentences and automatic review of parental responsibility, no matter the severity, would protect survivors, children, and prevent repeat abuse.
