The government is planning to roll out VED increases on older cars, which in our view, are barely worth the amount in tax they want to impose on the public even though no one has voted for it. £760 for a 20-year-old car, we think constitutes daylight robbery.
This was not voted on by the public. We think it’s a constant war on motorists to fulfil an agenda the public hasn’t directly voted for. In our view this will hit the poorest and force millions of older cars off the roads, cars that are MOTd and serviced and are in good order, cars that have already been taxed to death and with little financial worth but a lot of worth to the owners.
