Donations to political parties, from an individual or organisation, should be limited to £500,000 across total donations. We think this could reduce the influence of unelected and foreign individuals on UK politics.
Currently, in our view, too many domestic and foreign individuals and companies are using money to secure their own interests within our parliament. The population of the UK should be parliaments primary concern, our well-being should be the nations priority. We believe politics has become an industry, where influence is bought and sold through political donations, and that it is unhealthy for our four nations and breeds distrust in those we elect to govern us. We believe a cap on donations is required to restore trust.
