We call on the UK Government to introduce legislation banning the production, sale, and importation of lab-grown (cell-cultured) meat for human consumption, following the precautionary approach already adopted by countries such as Italy.

We urge the Government to prohibit the commercial production, sale, and importation of lab-grown meat for human consumption in the UK in order to: - Protect traditional livestock farming and rural economies - Uphold high food safety, animal welfare, and transparency standards - Apply the precautionary principle to novel food technologies
