Often people can’t find a space in a hospital car park when they need it most. I believe every ICU should have a separate carpark for patients' family that they can use when they have a short amount of time to say goodbye. This should be gated and the ICU patient name be mentioned for entry.
The government should make it mandatory that all hospitals with an ICU make a separate carpark so that family of an ICU patient can find a parking space easily so they don’t miss precious time to say goodbye to an end of life ICU patient/family member. No one deserves to not be able to say goodbye to their loved one because they can’t find a parking spot and then risk getting parking tickets if they have had to park somewhere not authorised.
