Milestones

Make reproductive coercion a standalone criminal offence, including forced or pressured abortion, pregnancy coercion, and contraception sabotage, to improve recognition, reporting, victim protection, and prosecution in England and Wales.

I was coerced into undergoing a surgical abortion against my will. This was a profound violation of my bodily autonomy which has left me with permanent psychological trauma, grief, and loss. I live with flashbacks and the lifelong impact of a decision forced through fear and control. I feel this is not just abuse, but it is harm that can result in death through coercive control. I believe the law must recognise reproductive coercion as lethal violence and hold perpetrators fully accountable.
