Give 'Grandfather rights' to the 2330 qualification for electricians with 15+ years’ documented professional experience, ensuring they can work in core roles without requiring retraining.
The 2330 has long been the UK’s trusted electrotechnical qualification, with thousands of holders delivering safe, compliant work across homes and businesses. For experienced electricians – many in their 50s/60s – we feel mandatory retraining would impose unfair financial hardship, duplicate skills they’ve proven through decades of practice, and risk losing valuable seasoned expertise that keeps our electrical trade safe and reliable for communities nationwide.
