We want the Government to stop taxing Longer Separation Allowance (LSA) which compensates British service personnel for unavoidable extended time away from their families due to deployments and training.
LSA also helps ease the emotional, personal, and financial strain these separations place on soldiers and their loved ones.

Government response
The Longer Separation Allowance recognises the impact of time away from home. It is taxed like salary under UK tax law, and there are currently no plans to change this.
