Milestones

Drivers returning from a drink-drive ban must have an alcolock fitted to their vehicle as a licensing condition for a defined period (e.g. 24 months) Periodic monitoring to ensure compliance Government funding & incentives are explored to support the installation & administration of this system

Drink-driving remains one of the leading causes of serious injuries and fatalities on UK roads. While existing sanctions remove offenders from the road temporarily, there’s limited assurance that reoffending will not occur once they regain their license. Studies & trials (across several European nations) have shown that using alcolocks significantly reduces reoffending rates.
