Make full suicide risk assessments mandatory when a child in hospital care expresses intent to harm themselves. No child asking for help should be left without support.

I want the Government to make suicide risk assessments legally mandatory when a child expresses intent to harm themselves. I am concerned that current guidance is inconsistent and not always enforced. No child who asks for help should be left without a full assessment, protection, and proper support. This could be called Ella's law.
