Bring in legislation (like in France) to ban supermarkets from selling fresh produce in plastic packaging. If it is necessary to have products in packaging, make it paper.

In our view, it is absolutely unnecessary for produce to be in plastic packaging as it is a true waste of plastic. Most produce does not need to be in packaging as well, but there is an incentive for purchasers to buy the packaged alternative if they are cheaper to buy. We believe we need to stop encouraging waste, with both the packaging and the unnecessary purchasing of more products (that go to landfill) just because they are more financially appealing.
