All food containing alcohol should be clearly labelled. Cooking does not always remove residual amounts. For people in recovery, even trace exposure can trigger cravings and distress. Clear labelling protects informed choice, respects recovery, and supports cultural and personal boundaries.
I want the Government and UK Parliament to mandate clear labelling. Alcohol in food is not always obvious, and cooking does not always fully remove it. For people in recovery, this is about safeguarding mental health and preventing triggers. This law could create a uniform standard, protects vulnerable consumers, and ensure informed consent at the point of purchase.
