Milestones

To take immediate action to meet the recommendations made by the Public Accounts Committee's faulty energy efficiency installations report (sixty-second report of session 2024–26 HC 1229) and to overhaul the accreditation of building contractors so the public are better protected.

Tens of thousands of households are suffering from poorly implemented retrofit installation measures, leaving many of us in deeper fuel poverty, with damaged property and at risk of further degradation of the structure of our properties. We think the scheme has been an abject failure and that nothing proactive has been done to fix it. Widespread fraud has been documented but not properly investigated.
