We call on the Government to make it illegal to fire a gun of any kind unless you are police within 15 miles of anyone’s residential home.
I want Government to do this as I moved to the countryside 15 years ago for a quieter way of life and to enjoy the wildlife as do many. Since I moved I've had shotguns going off around my home virtually every day for 5 months of the year. It is loud and I find it terrifying. This year someone stood at my garden fence shooting across the garden and shot 2 of my pet ducks. I find it truly terrifying and the police could do nothing about it because the person shooting had permission from the farmer whose field is next to my property.
