Review and improve early pregnancy care, including: Communication and access to screening, including NIPT Trauma-informed training for staff Pregnancy loss care with dedicated teams and immediate counselling Standardised access to D&E and induction Mandatory trauma-informed training for staff

Pregnancy loss is common, yet in our view, care varies by postcode. Families report inconsistent screening communication, limited explanation of results such as Low PAPP-A, delayed counselling, and unequal access to D&E. We believe these gaps add avoidable trauma at an already devastating time. National standards are needed to ensure clear information, timely emotional support, and equal access to appropriate medical options. No family should face added distress due to inconsistent systems at their most vulnerable.
