Milestones

Create a law like the free period product law in Scotland, which mandates that local authorities and education providers must make period products available free of charge. We would like the Government to fund free period products to be available in all public buildings.

If men didn't have to go to the toilet but women did would toilet paper be free? When you go inside a bathroom it is expected to see toilet paper, soap and water. This is obviously because going to the toilet is a natural bodily function that you cannot control. However, for women having a period is also a natural bodily function that they cannot control. In our view, by giving toilet paper to men and not period products to women we are essentially saying that women are not as valued as men.
