We need government action, I’m aware the government is criminalising it through the Crime and Policing Bill but it needs to be passed and then implemented urgently. It also needs to be discussed more openly to make people aware of the signs of exploitation and Cuckooing.

This been debated since 2025. The part on cuckooing won't be law until ministers commence it. Cuckooing victims are vulnerable people who are exploited by drug dealers. We feel this Act does not do enough to punish these criminals. We believe 5 years in prison for criminals is not worth the mental and physical toll cuckooing has on the victim, it is an awful injustice and needs to be spoken about more because the victim is often forced into horrible living conditions in their own home.
