We call on the Government to fund more advanced testing for UTIs and to make it available via the NHS. We also want more funding for improved support for those suffering with recurring UTIs, and a review of support for those affected in workplaces.
In our view, too many people suffer with extremely painful and debilitating UTIs, and too many have been failed by medical professionals using unsatisfactory methods to test for the UTI's. We believe that relying on poor methods of testing could lead to UTIs not being diagnosed, possibly resulting in further harm. UTIs can affect physical health and mental health. We believe that increased support in workplaces for those with a UTI is needed.
