Milestones

Create a national system requiring schools to formally record assaults against teachers and school staff. The Government should monitor and publish this data to understand the scale of the issue and support policies that improve staff safety.

I am concerned that assaults on teachers may be more common than recorded. I believe there should be clear national guidance on what constitutes assault and a formal system for schools to record and report incidents centrally so the Government can monitor the scale and improve staff safety.
