We are concerned that some groups, including Kurdish people, are subject to crimes to their race, ethnicity or religion, and as a result are worried about displaying their flags or culture publicly in fear of being subject to violent crimes or destruction of property.
We think the freedom of speech and expression must be protected, and therefore call on the Government to review the enforcement of laws protecting against hate on the basis of race, ethnicity and religion.
