We are concerned about reports of Qatar‑linked lobbying, funding & influence efforts shaping political decisions, public debate, educational & institutional behaviour in the UK. We believe it is important to determine the scope & impact of any such influence campaigns.

We feel that the Qatari sponsorship of the aggressors of the October 7th war, and the hosting of the leadership of the group behind it, together with the UK’s political response underline the urgent need to scrutinise how Qatar-sponsored organisations, networks & lobbying efforts may influence universities, government decisions and public debate.
