We want the Government to introduce a catch-up MenB vaccination programme for people under 22 born before 2015 who were not routinely offered the vaccine, ensuring equal protection against meningococcal B.
MenB is a serious and potentially fatal disease that can cause sepsis, meningitis, amputations and long-term disability. Those born before 2015 missed routine vaccination and remain unprotected. Cases still occur each year, and symptoms can progress rapidly. A catch-up programme could prevent avoidable illness and deaths and provide reassurance to families.
