I want people who have been convicted of domestic violence to be banned from the same cities as their victims. They should not be allowed to wander the same streets or live their life as if they’ve done nothing wrong. It should be an automatic ban.

Too many victims have to up and leave their homes, their families, friends, everything they know in order to get away from their abusers. It is often the automatic solution to dealing with abuse when it should be the other way around. Following a conviction, abusers should be removed from the city as a whole, as part of their punishment. Being abused already takes so much from a person, it takes their sense of spirit. Who they were before the abuse. Why should they also have to lose everything else?
