Campaign to improve justice for rape by introducing a minimum sentence of 10 years to reflect the severity of rape and sexual assault. Help strengthen public confidence to protect the most vulnerable.
Today, we believe perpetrators receive mercy, while the survivors are left to carry the consequences. Only 1.3% of rape and sexual assault cases result in a conviction, this is not justice. Rape does not just end in that moment, it destroys lives, and the pain is only amplified when the victims find no justice at all. We believe the failures are reflected in sentencing, people are outraged when perpetrators commonly receive 4-2 years behind bars, even community service. The law needs to protect us and demand justice.
