In educational and professional environments where food is served people with T1 Diabetes need to be able to manage their insulin intake with confidence. Carbohydrate information needs to be available in restaurants and in school. It seems discriminatory to not provide this.
It needs to be the law. Policies around educational provision are not strong enough for those with this life long condition. Until there is a cure these people/children need to eat unhindered by the fact it's not mandatory to supply them with the necessary information in order for them to eat safely. This information needs to be given without a choice of whether to or not.
