I want children of sex offenders or domestic abusers to have the ability to change their name even if they are under 16. This is to prevent them from being identified as the child of a sex offender, as they may be viewed differently in social settings.
Children of sex offenders and/or domestic abusers may live in fear that someone may recognise their name. In some cases, there is concern that victims' family may be able to trace the family of the perpetrator. Being associated with a name can change how people view themselves.
