The government is moving toward a legal ban on mobile phones in schools. We think that while this is agreeable for perhaps Key Stage 3 and below, it is simply ridiculous at a certain age. People who are able to vote in general elections by the end of this year, are treated like children.
Schools often let older students out into the local community at lunch. If a student were to be attacked somewhere away from others, there would be no way to call for help. We believe that if the government keeps treating us like infants, we will not make good adults. Teenagers are the future of this country, and we should have a say in decisions that affect us.
