Milestones

The Government must review the need for time limits for safeguarding investigations involving schools & agencies like the LADO, DBS & TRA to ensure they are clear & to promote better & quicker sharing of information between organisations.

The Review is also needed to ensure that cases affecting teachers & staff are not left open longer than necessary. At the moment, cases can drag on even after decisions have been made, mainly because agencies we believe don’t always share information quickly. This can leave teachers and staff in long periods of uncertainty, affecting their wellbeing and ability to work. We feel clearer timelines and communication would make the process fairer and more efficient.
