Milestones

We want the Government to amend the weekend delivery policy so that weekend, face to face full time students are not classed as distance learners. We believe weekend attendance should be recognised as full time in person study with equal financial and regulatory treatment.

We believe the current policy is outdated and unjust, penalising mature and working students who study at weekends. We feel it contradicts fairness and widening participation by treating identical in person learning differently based solely on attendance days, creating unnecessary financial and social barriers. Study and work dynamics have changed. People have to balance their studies alongside their work due to the cost of living going high, and previously students did not need to work more hours but now they do.
